This briljant Kalmar flush mount light or sconce, brass, cast ice glass, ca. 1970 realized by the esteemed Austrian producer J.T. Kalmar circa 1970. There are 5 small base Edison bulbs up to 40W per bulb which are covered with textured ice glass cubes.
It features a square polished brass frame with five cylindrical arms in the same material that connect to hand blown murano shades in translucent glass with a subtle organic texture that resemble stylized ice cubes.
With its beautiful materials and impeccable craftsmanship from one of the most fabled producers of mid century glass, this flush mount would be a winning addition to any style of interior.
The lamp can be used as wall or flush mount light.

In very good vintage condition. It accommodates five candelabra based bulbs, offering up to 300 watts of light. Different effects can be achieved by fitting different light bulbs, pygmy clear light bulbs for a serene look or more exclusive by fitting brass crown bulbs.
