1 of the 2 Axella Ceramic Yellow Cognac Lamps with Custom Shades, Denmark 1970

Stunning table lamp with yellow, brown and cognac ceramics by Axella, manufactured in the 1970s in Denmark. Combined with a new custom made lampshade by R. Houben.

This base used to be a pendant, but is now made to a new lamp base with custom shade by R. Houben in a neutral tone with ochre trimming. Illuminates through aswell the shade as the base, creating a stunning combination.

Labelled and signed by Axella, in excellent condition. Axella was found in the 70s in Denmark by Aksel Larsen, who later changed his name to Axella Keramik. The company, which produced impeccable, classic 1970’s style lamps, closed in 1987. The designer Jette Hellerøe worked for a short period in collaboration with Axella.
