Axella Ceramic Beige Brown Lamp with Custom Shade by R. Houben, Denmark 1970

Stunning table lamp with brown and beige ceramics by Axella, manufactured in the 1970s in Denmark. Combined with a new custom made lampshade by R. Houben.

The beautiful engraved base fits perfectly with the custom shade by R. Houben in a neutral tone with brown trimming. Illuminates beautifully.

Labelled and signed by Axella, in excellent condition. Axella was found in the 70s in Denmark by Aksel Larsen, who later changed his name to Axella Keramik. The company, which produced impeccable, classic 1970’s style lamps, closed in 1987. The designer Jette Hellerøe worked for a short period in collaboration with Axella.
