Art Nouveau Glazed Relief Tiles by Gilliot, circa 1920

Handmade floral antique tiles whit rich glazed colors. Manufactured around 1920 by Gilliot Hemiksem, Belgium. Particulary beautiful lot of 180 of Art Nouveau tiles. Two tiles makes one pattern.

Beautiful as an edge tile or as a tableau/wall.  Two tiles form the image, decor in relief. Dimensions per tile 15.5×15.5 cm. Belga factory.

These tiles would be charming displayed on easels, framed or incorporated into a custom tile design.

Size each tile:  6,1 in (15,5 cm) width x 6,1 in (15,5 cm) height x 0.39 in (1 cm) thick.

Condition is generally very good. Minor chips, scuffs and wear associated with age. Some crazing to the glaze is part of the design. There can be slight variations in each tile’s size because of their age and craftsmanship.
