This floor lamp is inspired by the traditional Japanese Uchiwa fans. Designed by the world famous designer Ingo Maurer.
Ingo Maurer first came across fans in a Paris shop in 1972 while looking for something that would create soft light. He travelled to Japan and met Tatsuo Shigeki, whose family had been making Uchiwa fans for generations. This period he produced various lamps from these traditional Japanese handcrafted fans.

Made of bamboo, rice paper and black lacquered metal.
