Vase with red currant decoration in frosted glass internally suffused with yellow and beige at the base and etched and cut with purple, lilac, green and light blue pendant flower leafs cameo signed “Galle,” circa 1904-1918. An exceptional pallet of colors.

Émile Gallé was a French glass maker and furniture designer based in his hometown. His favorite motif, which he used a lot in his work, was the plant. There were also many insect motifs. Gallé was probably the greatest glass maker of all time and one of the founding father’s of the Art Nouveau movement.
