Gold-Plated Kinkeldey Crystal Glass Flush Mount, Germany, 1970s can be placed on hold for 24 Hours.
This modernist design flush mount was designed by the Kinkeldey design team during the 1970s, and manufactured in Germany. A handmade and high quality piece.
The crystals are meticulously cut in such a way that the radiate the light of the bulbs in different directions. All metal parts are gold-plated, even the lamp sockets and screws, and the flush mount features a gold-plated structure from which several multifaceted crystals are suspended. The removable square crystals are hand polished and secured to the frame with solid gold decorative cylinder screws.
Kinkeldey is German manufacturer of high-end lighting fixtures. The company attracted international attention when they won the prestigious IF Design Award in 1969 with a chandelier fitted with prism cut crystals. During the 1970s Kinkeldey produced a number of variations on this award winning model, like the one offered here. Although these lamps show the same quality as fixtures of companies like Bakalowits, Lobmeyer and Palwa, the Kinkeldey models tend to be more modern in their design approach.
Cleaned, well-wired and ready to use. The flush mount can be disassembled and the crystals individually wrapped for easy transport. Horizontally inside the frame are nine standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 60 Watts each and is compatible with the US/UK/ etc. Standards. Also LED compatible.
