Kalmar Catena Murano Glass Chrome Chandelier, 1970s

A fantastic Kalmar chandelier model “Catena” by J.T. Kalmar, Austria, manufactured in the 1970s. These lights are handmade high quality pieces. Made of large hand-molded Murano glass elements on chromed hardware. Each glass measures approximately 8″ x 6″ (20 x 15 cm). There are a total of 30 elements alternating in clear and bubble glass.

The chandelier creates beautiful variations and patterns in light and shadow. The glass has small air bubbles in it what gives a nice diffuse light effect and a nice pattern on ceiling, walls and floor.

Measures: Diameter 22.04 inch (56 cm), height body only 17.3 in. (44 cm) / incl. stem and canopy 42 inch (104 cm) and can easily be altered for free. The chandelier requires five E27 sockets.

Excellent original condition. Cleaned and well-wired, in full working order and ready to use. The chrome frame is in good condition. Specially compared in line with her age. The chandelier can be disassembled and the glass elements individually wrapped for easy transport.
