This modernist design chandeliers were designed by the Kinkeldey design team during the 1970s, and manufactured in Germany. A very elegant Kinkeldey chandelier, it is comfortable with all decor periods. The crystals are meticulously cut in such a way that radiates the light of the bulbs in different directions.
This chandeliers are executed to a very high standard: All metal parts are gold-plated, even the lamp sockets and screws. The chandelier features a 24-karat gold-plated four-tier structure from which 66 quality multifaceted crystals are suspended. The removable 66 hexagonal crystals are hand polished and secure to the frame with solid brass decorative cylinder screws. Carries horizontally inside the frame six standard small screw light bulbs (E14) up to 60 watts each and one standard big screw light bulb (E27) up to 100 Watts at the bottom.
Kinkeldey is German manufacturer of high-end lighting fixtures. The company attracted international attention when they won the prestigious IF design award in 1969 with a chandelier fitted with prism cut crystals. During the 1970s Kinkeldey produced a number of variations on this award winning model, like the one offered here. Though these lamps show the same quality as fixtures of companies like Bakalowits, Lobmeyer and Palwa, the Kinkeldey models tend to be more modern in their design approach.
